Fire Fighter saves Heart and Homes....

What is a firefighter? He's the guy next door....
He's a guy like you and me with warts and worries and unfulfilled dreams.
Yet he stands taller than most of us.
He's a fireman....
A fireman is at once the most fortunate and the least fortunate of men.
He's a man who saves lives because he has seen too much death.
He's a gentle man because he has seen the awesome power of violence out of control.
He's responsive to a child's laughter because his arms have held too many small bodies that will never laugh again....
He doesn't preach the brotherhood of man.
He lives it.

  A fire fighter works in team to extinguish fires and respond to many types of emergency situations. They work in variety of settings like urban and rural residential areas, Airports, industrial sites, grasslands, forests and many more. In their no emergency situation time, they are found to participate in various drills and stay fit to be ready to tackle any emergency situations.

Dhruv Defence Motivation Center came up with an idea why not to train the kids for such emergency situations. A small help in such situations can save many lives. DDMC has hence defined a Fire fighting training course  for the 5th std to 10th std students. 

 This Workshop covers the following things:-

•  To teach the kids how to deal with fire under various circumstances. They are taught the preliminary method that every kid can use in any fire situations.  
•   Kids are trained on how to rescue an indiviual from a fire situation.
• Demonstration is given to them about the working of Fire Brigade in various situations.
•   Use of Extinguisher and use of hose pipes to put off the fire.
• Use of Net to save lives in case of jump from high-rise building.
• Snake Catching Techniques and information about various species of Snakes found around.
• Ladder climbing, accessing high rise locations to save lives.
• Safety rules and Preventive measures to be taken in case of fire situation. 

This whole workshop is taken by the working staff along with live demonstrations on Fire Brigade vehicle. Through this workshop, DDMC tries to update kids about disaster management, boost self confidence and how to stay alerts  to handle critical situations in disaster. Knowledge based discussions are also arranged for kids with Colonels or Fire Brigade Authorities.  

     The Cost of this workshop is Rs.100 for the students of the school who gives DDMC a chance to to train there students to make make future generation strong, fearless and self confidence. This workshop can be arrranged on any Saturday for maximum 3 hours.

DHRUV DEFENCE MOTIVATION CENTER (DDMC)

"Creating Tomorrow's Responsible Citizens...."

Keeping this Vision in their mind, Mr. Subodh Saikhedkar,  laid the foundation of Dhruv Defence Motivation Center (DDMC). 

           DDMC has taken up this aim to prepare todays Young Generation to be capable enough for Self Defence, be prepared to face  disasters, critical situations by building up the Sportsmanship and the spirit to work for the nation and the society among them. DDMC believes that a physically and mentally fit person is less prone to medical conditions. 21st century kids are not very active.They prefer to be more of bookworms and Ipad users than to go out and play. Dhruv Defence provides training to kids to instil the qualities of Discipline, Self-confidence, Courage,Self-reliance, spirit of leadership. Along with it, They also train the candidates to be ready for Indian Air Force, Merchant Navy, Army, Civil Aviation and all the defence as well as civil services related  Competitive exams, making their all round development.

Mr.Subodh Saikhedar, is the Soul of this Dhruv Defence Motivation Center. He looks out all the entire operations of DDMC. He has 20 years of Consulting Experience to various companies liasoning work.He has been instrumental in bringing together like minded and equally able faculties to train kids at the Dhruv Defence Motivation Centre.

Mrs. Rupali Khedkar, Executive Director DDMC

DDMC conducts various training activities like Commando Training, Fire Fighting Training, Adventure Sports Camp, NDA educational Trips that helps children to be physically and mentally fit. Mrs. Rupali Saikhedkar  heads the overall execution of this activities. She looks after the Service Quality and Safety of each activities they undertake. After Successful completion of her Military Training Course at Bhonsla Military School, Nashik,  She heads DDMC as Executive Director  & as President at Dhruv Foundation, an organization that works for the Women's welfare and Health awareness.

The other faculties responsible for conducting activities successfully are  Col. Ajit R Deshpande (Commissioned Officer, retd. col. from Indian Army, June 81-Sept.04)  who guides and motivates the young generation from time to time. Rtd.  DIG Sudhakar Ambedkar (Retired IPS Officer)  who acts as a Consultant & coaches kids for MPSC and UPSC exam preparations free of cost.Col. PR Joshi, (Maharashtra Regiment) Trains young kids who recieved Specialized training in Mountain/Jungle/Desert warfare besides training soldier.
